Latin Sounds: Fausto Cuevas y La Moderna
Latin Sounds features world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to the latest sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles! These free concerts are presented Saturday evenings at the Dorothy Collins Brown Amphitheater at LACMA, where you can enjoy open seating and picnicking on the grounds

Percussionist and band leader Fausto Cuevas began playing drums at the age of 11. Over the course of his career, he has recorded, performed and toured with artists ranging from Latin to Legend, including Julio Iglesias, Celia Cruz, Teena Marie, Al Jarreau, Nestor Torres, and Roy Hargrove. His band Fausto Cuevas y La Moderna has performed at the famed Playboy Jazz Festival and The Blue Note in New York City. Fausto has also appeared at the Sugarwater Festival with Queen Latifah, performed at the World Music and Lady of Soul Music Awards with Sheila E and Amerie; and the Tobago Jazz Festival.
Latin Sounds is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served.
